This is a sturdy ladder for sure, however it’s too heavy for the rear hatch. I have a 2024 4Runner and the hatch will not stay open with this attached. Too bad.

The ladder itself is solid and well-made—once installed, it feels strong and reliable on my 4Runner. However, getting to that point was frustrating. The instructions were practically useless, offering almost no clear guidance. On top of that, the measurements and fitment info online were vague, which made it surprising that it is so curved. Assembly was extremely challenging and took much much much longer than expected, mostly due to the lack of clear directions and supporting materials. It’s a good product in the end, but be prepared for a tough install and some trial and error and some paint damage.
