There are three ways to solve this situation in the 84306929 liftgate struts you will facing:
1. Refresh the liftgate struts control module (computer board).
2. The negative pole of the anti-battery wire (battery) inside the machine cover is unplug.
3. If the electric strut is opened to the top and slowly falls down a little bit,Please manually open and close the door to a suitable height. Press and hold the tailgate close button until the vehicle emits a "dididi--" prompt and let go.when the door is opened next time,the door will reach the previously set height and stop.

Fit perfectly, worked perfectly. Went right in place of the old, even came with the correct wire guides and clips in place. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far so good.

Took me about 1hr to install on 2018 RAV4. There are no directions in box. Thankfully install is fairly intuitive. Don’t forget to use blue lock tight on ball mount bolts top and bottom each side, 8 total. You can get away with popping 1/2 of door fasteners on plastic covering to get hand inside to remove electric connectors. Once new struts installed you need to manually lower the door. Pushing button on fob will open door. If height too low, push door upward manually followed by push of button on hatch door for two seconds. This will allow vehicle to remember height. If you want door lower push hatch button as door raising for 2 seconds. I used a telescoping paint pile to manually hold door open. A single old strut held my door open. A new single strut would not!!! Noise while new struts open and close door is not laboured, nor does it falter/shake to achieve max height. Time will tell if new struts are of good quality. i bought these for a customers car they do not function as they are supposed to will open fine but do not close fully have to push to latch and recieved no assitance from amazon to rectify issue was told to contact manufactur

My RAV4 with 190000 miles was having trouble opening the hatch. It would work sometimes but not always. These solved my problem and are working great! They seem a bit faster than the originals and even quieter. Install was easy after watching a YouTube. Very pleased!

The power struts cannot open the hatch all the way, have tested multiple times and run recalibration steps. Product is either defective or too cheap the handle the weight of the specified vehicle mine being a 2016 rav 4.
