2. Put in vertical direction. The wiper arm would be stuck in the blade.

Easy to install myself - but be aware there are no instructions included! My advice: search on You Tube for the appropriate tutorial. If then this seems like a task you can handle, order the part.Arrived in good shape in reasonable time. and replacement accomplished in minutes
