Having read all of the current reviews (date 12-6-24), this is a review of MY experience with purchasing and wearing these heated slippers. The Pros:1) They are extremely comfortable. They have a soft yet firm foundation for the foot to fit and walk on. The bottom of the slipper, the sole, looks very well made and provides a lightweight tread without having a sense of added weight.2) The lithium batteries work well. I selected the lowest heat setting which prolongs how long the batteries heat the slippers. In this setting, they work 10-plus hours continuously. During this time, the slippers keep my feet warm.3) Customer service was good. There was an issue with the battery charger. It worked, but the battery charge indicator stayed “red,” when the batteries were fully charged. I contacted the vendor via email and received a prompt and courteous reply. A replacement charger was sent out the next day at no charge, and having received and tested it, it now works fine. The batteries take several hours to charge. The Cons:1) The issue of fraying along the top portion of the slippers. Please see my attached photos. There is some slight fraying, nothing dramatic in my case, but I can see why someone would be bothered by this, especially if the fraying is worse. Like the other reviewer who mentions this, I wear the slippers all the time in my home-work studio. I don’t put undue stress along the top or inside of the slippers, so this appears to be a manufacturing issue. In my case, it’s not a deal breaker, as the fraying is slight and does not appear to be getting worse. If they do, I’ll post an update. In conclusion, I’m very happy with these heated slippers. The pros far outweigh the cons. If the fraying issue can be solved, this would be a five-star review. I subtracted one star for this, in my case, minor issue.

Despite charging per directions only gets lukewarm and only stays on for about 3 hours. Very disappointed as it was a gift for a sick person.

They get very warm. They are also pretty comfortable but more like a boot than a slipper.

These Volt Heat Slippers began fraying at the toe box area just one month after wearing them indoors. I primarily wear them while seated in my home office. The most I do is walk around my house. I attempted to contact Volt Heat directly by phone, email and text. I was met with no response. One day I got lucky and someone answered the phone at Volt Heat Customer Service. He said he would give me another pair at 50% discount. Now why would I have to pay for another pair that may also start to fray after I buy them and comes with no assurance of replacement? He advised me to text him pictures. I did. No response again. While these boots do a great job warming my feet, they look pretty bad because of the fraying. I'm not a ballerina. I don't tip toe around the house. There is zero reason this fraying should be happening. The only problem is defective workmanship. Since I received NO RESPONSE to my customer service emails, texts and phone call messages, I felt compelled to share my experience. Buyer Beware - Volt Heat does not stand by the quality of their products.
