I was hoping to use these before I review them but haven’t needed them yet so I will just review my initial impression of them. The bag is nice and easy to load. The bag opens wide and the quality of the bag is nothing to write home about but is adequate considering the price. The tracks themselves are very nice considering the price. There are many options out there and the well known ones are way more expensive than these. I don’t get stuck much when off-roading and when I do there is usually a tree to use to winch myself out so these should last me a long time. The included photos show a 35/12.50 tire on one of these tracks. The plastic didn’t seem to distort much under the front tire of my 99 Jeep TJ with an iron block 4.0 with a supercharger on it. Traction lugs under and on top of the tracks look good but will need to see how they hold up to abuse. Will update if I ever end up needing them but for now I am 100% satisfied.

This product has saved me a ton of money. I fish a lot and go on some questionable backroads or have to park in some embankments and these babies get me unstuck with 0 effort! Just drop em in front of your tires and hit the gas and you’re home free! Buying two more sets for my truck (4x4) !

These Yiyitools recovery tracks were available to me through the Amazon Vine program. I live in Michigan where we can get snow or ice in over half of the months of the year. We have gotten vehicles stuck in the driveway (or more accurately, just off the driveway) more times than I care to count. We usually get a tow rope or a bunch of people to help get us free. When I saw these recovery tracks in my Amazon Vine selection, I thought they looked like a great idea and I wanted to try them out. They could make getting unstuck SO much easier. However, I don’t want to intentionally get stuck just so I can try them out for my review. So for now, my rating is based on the fact I assume these will come in quite handy over the next few years. I will revisit my rating after I’ve actually had a chance to use them. These recovery tracks come with a thin zippered bag with carrying handles for storage, and are made in China.

If you have ever gotten stuck in snow or mud, you know how nearly impossible it is to get traction in order to get your vehicle unstuck. How many of us carry kitty litter, corrugated cardboard, sand, pea gravel, or burlap in the trunk ‘just in case’ we need something to use for traction? A few years ago we purchased a much cheaper and cheaply made version of these traction tracks, and it only took once that winter to realize the mistake. Thankfully we have amazing neighbors with a winch on their truck who could help us out! But you’re not always going to be in a situation where help is nearby and that’s where these traction tracks are worth every penny. These are much easier to use than the cheapo sets we bought for our vehicle, mainly because they are significantly sturdier. These don’t bend and flex and flop around, nor do they fold in on themselves as you are trying to wedge beneath your tires. The little x-shaped nubs along the bottom side provide good grip in to the ground and the hexagon-shaped nubs on the top side provide traction for tires without ripping up the rubber. Compared to kitty litter, sand, or gravel, these don’t leave a mess behind and they are nowhere near as heavy to carry around. You can easily transfer between vehicles if necessary. Mud can be quickly washed off and the clean tracks stored back in your trunk. The one thing missing from this product is a storage/carry bag. A quick search on Amazon will show several other brands of this same design for about the same price that do include a bag with the tracks. The tracks stack together, but a bag to keep them together would have been nice. The convenience of a storage bag doesn’t change the fact that if you live someplace where it’s a real possibility that you may get stuck in snow or mud and need some form of traction (or a tow truck) to get out, you really, REALLY want to consider investing in a set of these for your vehicle. Or even two sets so you have a track for each wheel or a longer run for two wheels. The cost is still cheaper than a tow truck, and at least you have an option immediately at hand. (If you live someplace that gets significant snow and ice each year and you break out the sand or kitty litter at least once a season to get unstuck, then definitely buy yourself a set of traction tracks as well as a set of quick attach snow chains to be a part of your winter car kit.)
