This was perfect for my needs, with some modification because my house is ancient. Be sure to clamp the clips onto the sheet rock itself, my old one was clamped to the ceiling tiles and it broke through! This is the new install (with the OLD rip still shown—that is NOT from this new one) including the new holes (silver screws not included) I needed to make to fasten the fitting to the actual wood, past the plaster and other junk in my ceiling. The included white screws are not used in my build. This fit the bill perfectly and so I’m a major “fan”. The graded fitting works great for many tube sizes and the built-in diffuser is sturdy and easy to operate with the key (the square plastic piece in the stock photo—this is there for illustration, it does not stay in the fixture). 3-way grille is exactly what I needed since the room is small and I was getting condensation from a/c hitting the wall paint. Highly recommended if you do a little homework first.

These have a nice clamp system that makes them easy to install in suspended ceiling (or in a drywall ceiling as well, I suppose). Cut the hole (over 8" diameter), insert vent, and tighten screws and it clamps it in place. Then slide the ductwork over the appropriate diameter on the connection part (typically 6" for residential), and use electrical tie (included) to attach (I always use sheet metal screws as well). Not cheap, but the convenience is worth it to me. Only issue I had was it was missing the knob for adjusting the flow, but a flat screw driver will suffice in my case (I rarely change the flow).

The snap of collar rings that let you size it for 6”, 7” and 8” worked out well for me. I had different size duct runs to different rooms in the house and made use of those.. My old diffuser/dampers were a previous version of this product and the dampers had gotten brittle and broken with use. Airtech has improved the product and the dampers now include a rubber lip seal on them whereas the old ones were just plastic out to the tip. Creates a much better seal when closed now. Good work Airtech.

I am renovating an old farmhouse and changing the heating from hot water baseboard to forced air heat pump. To get heat in the upstairs, I ran a trunk duct up into the attic and then used flex duct branches to each room. I used these diffusers in each room.The frustrating part is some of the units had included 3' tie wraps but only a couple of them (I bought 6). Also of the 6 bought only one came with a template for cutting the hole.But the units are good. I used 8" flex duct so I had to remove the 6"a dn 7" plastic rings which isn't all the easy. I had to use a large screw driver to peel the tear off bands. But the simplest install method is cut the circle, run the flex duct to the hole and pull through. Attach the inner flex duct to the diffuser and tie wrap it. I then pulled the insulation down over the inner flex and used duct tape to keep the insulation in place. Then you push it all up into the hole and then use a drill driver to slowly turn the screws so they grasp the drywall ceiling. These are good diffusers and I would buy them again.

I bought 2 to replace the same diffusers that were broken in my new house. The YouTube video from the manufacturer explained how to install these and it was very easy. Buy the same tools they used to install it (heavy duty zip ties and a zip tie gun) and you will get these up in no time.

I had a round duct in my kitchen that was not going to work with my new cabinet install. The duct was also to one side and not centered where the new extended kitchen was. And I did not want to move the duct because they are commercial metal wrapped.I purchased the 3 way version of this converter diffuser. I peeled off the one section so it would fit into my duct perfectly, taped it up and screwed it into the ceiling. The air flows very nicely side to side and forward, sending the air in the right direction..
