Long lasting battery and laser can aim far away, so far I’ve had no problems with it. The only con is you can’t really see it outside in the daylight.

I've had a bug a-salt for a while now and have often grumbled about how lousy the sights are. I've been meaning to give one the laser sights a try. When I had the opportunity to review this one, I jumped at the chance. This clamp-on laser sight is pretty standard and comes with two options to activate it: 1) you can attach a button at the back of the sight you can press to turn it on and off 2) you can swap out the back button for a remote corded switch you can install somewhere on your bug a-salt. Both seem to work well and it's pretty subjective as to which is better.Installing it is pretty simple, you just loosen the clamp, slide it over the barrel and tighten it back up. The instructions show a small rubber sheet between the clamp and the barrel that is not included in the kit. However, my kit did come with a couple of narrow 3m strips that I assume are intended for the same purpose. While I don't believe they are as effective as what is shown in the manual, they can be made to work OK.So far, the sight seems to work pretty well. The range of the bug a-salt is pretty limited so even if the laser was off, it isn't by enough to make a difference to me. Overall, this is a nice and inexpensive accessory for your salt-based fly swatter.

I picked this up to put on my SRB1200. While the toy is nice; it becomes hard to aim at any distance or even really up close especially in a tricky situation playing with friends or my kids. My son really can aim well with this laser (even if it isn't super bright which makes it good more for dusk and such more than broad daylight). The little batteries in here last quite a while as well. Long enough that they haven't run out in the unit that I have.

I've paid $20 to see movies that didn't make me laugh as much as I cackled when I attached this to my BugASalt 2.5. It's also more flexible, not to mention cheaper, than the branded BugASalt laser. Using the tips of the clamps I got this laser onto any nerf gun with a tactical rail (please don't do this if you're pointing it at people without eye protection) and even other gaps like the bottom lip of my Zombiestrike Hammershot, which I also use frequently against flies.I did take some measurements to see what the clamps allow. The laser itself has a diameter of 19mm.All measurements take into account that you're holding the laser in the opposite side and aren't 100% exact.Largest opening Max diameter: 25.6 mm. Optimum due to roundness is around 20mm diameter. Minimum diameter 19 mm. The far tips of the larger opening have a maximum of 15.9 mm and a minimum of 5.5 mm.Smaller opening Max diameter: 26 mm. Optimum is around 14.5 mm. Minimum diameter of 11.2 mm. The far tips of the smaller opening have a maximum of 21.2 mm and minimum of 1.45 mm.Laser 19mm at grip point

Unboxing: 3/5Arrived in a little cardboard box with a barcode, small boxing that will keep it safe, but definitely not giftable as it is.Looks: 5/5This sight looks amazing on the Bugasalt, it turns it into an absolute machine, especially with the pressure button mounted to the side. It’s not bulky, it’s really seamless with the look of the whole thing.Quality / Durability: 5/5Feels of great quality, the batteries have lasted weeks already. The adhesive is strong and will last a long time too. The mount is screw based, so it shouldn’t loosen over time.Function: 4/5The only thing that was hard to do with this is adjust the laser. The rest was so simple, mounting the laser, choosing if I wanted a button or pressure mount, sticking that on. It was so easy. The pressure mount is extremely cool too, you choose to either keep it on with pressure, and there’s a little button on the other end of it too. To adjust the laser you have to fiddle with two screws, which is a bit difficult to figure out what you’re doing, but the manual helps you out there. All in all, pretty easy to set up, and a lot of fun.Value (for the listed price): 5/5Overall: 5/5
