I bought this pistachio shell opener, because I like the compact size of it and how easy it is to grip. However, it turns out that the handles are made of very lightweight plastic, and it felt like the handles would break if I used enough pressure to open a pistachio. I was never able to open a pistachio with them because they are not sturdy enough, so I am going to return them.

The product doesn’t work on all types of nuts. Very difficult to control when using.

Its like a pair of pliers. All it does is tear up your pistachios

it will crack open nuts but the jaws are smooth and it doesn't grip them very good so occasionally they pop out and across room. would be nice if there was some grooves on the jaws to grip the nuts

It does break the shell but it crumbles up the nut and you have to pull the crumbles out of your dish of shells. I don’t like it. Just get out your kitchen scissors and cut the shell along the crack. The nut will come out in one or tow haves.
