Your cart is empty. The Portal Axle Kit-V2 is designed for the Everest Gen7 features the same portal axles that are installed in the Redcat Gen8 Scout II-V2 scale crawler, but includes all the parts needed to easily install portal axles on your Gen7 Sport or Pro.
This kit includes the front and rear portal axle, along with a molded plastic plate so you can mount your servo to your Gen7 chassis.
The Redcat Portal Axle Kit also includes a slipper clutch upgrade, with gearing change, intended for the Everest Gen7. Because of the additional gear reduction present in the portal axles, without a gearing change, the Everest Gen7s top speed will be reduced by about 50%.
This slipper clutch system features a lockout system, for those who decide they dont want the possibility of their drivetrain slipping, but still want the gearing change.

Do better red cat no one wants a frame mounted steering servo. Yes, I gained ground clearance, but lost articulation.

Plastic axle housing is not the best material the horn for the steering on the right side snapped off clean 10 min into driving maybe some of I get the brass portals will fix tat issue and maybe the rest of the axle housings will hold together.

I have one on my Gen 7 pro but hit a log with the top of my rid and scattered the rear gear. Freek Accident I don't see this being a problem for 99% of people. However I am buying this kit once again because I love it so much however I am going to be using only the front axle and making it a 4 wheel steering machine with portals.

These axles are amazing definitely help with ground clearance and crawling although the gen 7 pro is pretty good out of the box. I added a servo on axle mount to get rid of the pan hard bar. Performs even better now.

Gained a lot of clearence but lost almost all of the flex i had so now its just a play rig and not a crawler like i wanted
