No should on these bolts. After tightening the nut it compressed the hanger tight against the leaf spring and not allow it to pivot. Removing the and going to get bolts with a shoulder.

The bolts are 3" long and it's 2.25" from back of head to first thread

I bought 4 of these shackle bolts so I could replace the standard zerks on them with right angle zerks for easier greasing. In removing the straight "zerk" for one of these bolts, I found that the "zerk" is not threaded, but is a press fit into the bolt, meaning that I could not insert a standard threaded right angle zerk into the bolt. Further, a zerk nipple has a seal on the zerk to keep dirt out, whereas the "zerk" on these bolts is nothing more than a hole into the inside of the bolt. These are worthless due to inferior construction.

I had to use LOCTITE on some of the nuts due to the fact that the "lock" nuts were not crimped/dimpled enough to hold. They would loosen too easily with out using the LOCTITE. I'm looking for new lock nuts that will work/ hold tight.
