I bought a pair of these because I know the idea works. I have a pair of the original 4 Reel Brackets. These look like them but are cheaper. I thought I would give them a try. These do not have the holes in the front that are found on the original model. That makes it impossible to snap the brackets together. These are not nearly as strong as 4 Reel Brackets. They do not have a tooth that bites into the stud like the originals do to keep the load held up. These are not made in America.

This is a good value and handles my 1000 foot roll of 12/3 wire perfectly. Beats my homemade contraption, although I didn’t put much time into making it. For the price it’s worth it for convenience.

It’s funny how sometimes the simplest things are the most helpful. There isn’t much to this. It’s just a bar of steel shaped to hook on a stud and hole a roll of wire. Gravity does the work. It’s one of these things you see and wonder why it took so long for someone to make. I used it as intended (for wire) but I think there are a lot of things you could use it for. Unrolling rope, string, pipe, etc plus things I probably haven’t thought of. Worked great for me. Seriously, so simple and so helpful

I use several un-spoolers. This unit fits a 2X4 stud on an inside wall. It works great if/when pulling in an open frame building. Right now, I’m re-wiring an existing home. Sheetrock everywhere, no open studs.I will be in the attic pulling wire in a few days, this wire dispenser will go up there with me, and will be a great benefit. I’ve been throwing a big plastic washer on the end so the spool doesn’t catch the pipe end pin when I pull off axis.I like this product and will use it when the situation calls for it. Open studs!

Works well. Does exactly what it’s supposed to do and it was cheap.

The arm isn’t long enough to secure wider spools. Some 14/2 spools of romex are wider than others, the arm doesn’t hold the wider spools. The metal on this is weak and the part that holds to the stud opens up after a couple uses.
