I bought this to power my well in the event of an emergency. It is very well made and durable and has stood up to the elements without issue. Easy to install and looks good too.

We are setting up a generator for power outages in a shed outside of our carport and wanted to put this review on Amazon before the time limit runs out for doing so. It has not been installed yet and wired in to the main house circuits, but it came quickly and looks sturdy and exactly what we wanted. In another month when it does get installed, I plan on updating this review.

Easy to install on 240 volt circuit for well pump. It's very well made and got used this winter during power outages.

So the initial install went really well. No problems in getting the line connected to the breaker box. However, when my new generator arrived - I could NOT get the generator to work in the system. After a complete disassembly of the switch, they had connected the wires backwards. Once corrected (and it was a simple correction) things worked fine. But that one error took way too much time to debug (over an hour to get to the bottom of the issue - with having to disconnect power at the mains each time - and then re-lock out the mains). What a pain. In the end, it does work and the unit is of high quality - assembly is another story. THey need to do better here in the future. A better labeling of the cables might have prevented them from wiring them incorrectly (one pair of wires in the wrong holes). No harm done, just frustrating - and many other boxes on the market - where they get these things correct first time.

This is an great product! Very clean that it provides the outlet as well as the Dual Pole Dual Throw (DPDT) switch. Makes the installation very smooth! Long story short, I have a peculiar parking situation at my home and I needed a higher current circuit close to my parking area in order to charge my Tesla once in a while. So, I used this and rewired it to switch between providing power to the A/C condenser (close to my parking area) and the on-board outlet. I also modified the outlet to use an L14-30R instead of the included L14-30P (obviously, much safer and the intention that it is an outlet is now clear). I did used this product so that there was never a chance to overload the original 30A circuit. Only the A/C or the car charger can be on at any one time. The product works flawlessly.

As a professional electrician, this was the easiest transfer switch I have ever installed. My ONLY gripe is that Amazon doesn't have clear pictures of what the inside looks like. The inside has a male L6-30 to connect to the generator and a selector switch along with about two feet of wire. My installation only needed some screws to hang it with and a foot long piece of sealitte flex and fittings and two wirenuts. My customer was very pleased with since I had quoted him 3 hours labor but it took me less than 1.I end up installing a lot of equipment that is just terrible but this thing just couldn't be designed better. Kudos to the engineer that designed this!

This is a great product. I installed this to be able to run just my well pump off a generator. It is fairly compact, well built, and easy to install. They provide ample wire length so that you don't have to add on if you are installing in very close proximity to your panel.

I have to say, I thought this unit was way overpriced when I bought it. Once it arrived I now have to say the build quality is awesome and way better than I thought it would be... My only complaint, which is the same as other members is I wish the leads were just a little longer. Maybe 6" longer. Other than that, Install was easy and it works perfectly.

Works as described, gave it 4 stars due to the shortness of the wires. Installed this about 6 inches from my breaker panel and had trouble reaching my breaker. I purchased this for a hot water heater and have no issues at this time ( I have not tested it with a generator at this time, but, see no reason why it should not work). Well made with a sturdy cabinet.------Update- just used the switch on and off for two days, worked great.
