The T6511 temperature also means it has been heat treated for additional strength (yield strength: 35, 000 psi). this 6061 aluminum meets ASTM B221 specifications.

Hard to review an aluminum bar. quality is great, its aluminum. size as described. I used it for custom battery terminal bars.

Used this bar stock as a shim/backplate for installation of security latches for a sliding glass door. It was pretty much as advertised although I found that the width of the bar was slightly less (maybe 1/64") than the advertised 2", I took a star off for this. After all, this is metal, not dimensional framing lumber, right?
