I was surprised at the weight and feel. Very usable in general. I prefer wood for side hits but this is a good, all around mallet.

This is a much more usable product than the cheap wooden mallet that comes with the Meinl talking drums. Get one and enjoy!

This is a great mallet! Fairly priced. Works great on my Remo talking drum. Wish only that the Remo came with it.Should last a lifetime.
