My unit arrived in an original HP box with original manuals in the plastic wrapping still. This leads me to believe the unit I received was actually new-old stock or factory refurbished by HP themselves. Either way I am extremely pleased to have a 1500 page auto-lift tray for under a hundred bucks. Unit has been tested already with a few thousand pages.
