i LOVE this doorknocker and have gotten many compliments. I've a metal door, so rather than nail to the door, i glued magnets to the back, and it stays strongly on the door. It has weight and I think it will last forever. my neighbors love playing with it! I've had it up for a year now. i have no affiliation with the seller, and yes, i bought this product without any reviews on it - a first - abd so glad i did.

this knocker is heavy duty and I was able to install it in a very small (not wide) space and it's perfect.

Can't figure out why the area to put the screw into is raised 1/4 inch, which causes it not to lie flat. Very disappointed - this should be a 1, 2, 3 easy install, but because of the raised areas it is not. May end up returning it - might be able to get around it, but really shouldn't have to. Don't want to try to carve out a square hole so this item will lie flat. Dumb design

This is pretty and I am happy with the look from the outside. However, I didn't realize that it screws in all the way through the door so the screws show on the inside. The screws are brass (?) covered so not just screws poking out, but still not what I was expecting. Also, the screws were too long and they had to be shortened to work for my door.
