Thomas Palmer. You must have done something wrong because this part is a spring inside a plastic housing and is silent. It was the exact same tight fit and silent working as the Dometic part which was four times as expensive as this one the last time I replaced it. I would almost always recommend after-market parts and have used most and saved hundreds of dollars. The only part that you shouldn't use after-market parts for are the bellows in Vacu-Flush vacuum generators because those split within a week. I learned that the hard way but i had to try because Dometic parts are so overpriced and I have two Vacu-Flush toilets aboard my boat.To be honest I think that Thomas was not being very truthful when he said"fit was bad. noisy when in use. Threw it in the garbage"Who would do that, especially when Amazon accept returns so very easily.

Nachdem ich an meiner SeaLand Traveller Toilette im Wohnmobil die Dichtungen ausgetauscht hatte, funktionierte leider nach dem Wiederzusammenbau der Toilette die Spülung nicht mehr richtig. Das Pedal kam leider nicht mehr von alleine zurück nach oben. Hatte mir dann diese Federkartusche bestellt und eingebaut. Seither alles wieder gut. Qualität ist perfekt! Kann ich uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.
