The original is the left side cable the new one is the right side. This cable appears better than the original there's a weird plastic coating on the original that was wearing and fraying. The new cable does not have this plastic coating which seems better to me. The bite was a little tighter on the shift but that can be adjusted. Also the new pin is much thicker than the original you can see the rig job that was used to get the vehicle home after the original pin snapped. Overall my only con is there was a bad scratch on the metal lead coming out of the firewall. Everything else looks stellar.
