I should've waited until I had all of my parts, but I am impatient. When removing this faceplate for the first time to install a new battery, it cracked. Something I've never had happen to the original black front housing after removing it dozens of times. Disappointed in the quality. If you don't plan on modding and just need a replacement, this will do. If you want something that can be removed easily and without damage, stay away. This front housing is brittle and cracks easy.

This replacement faceplate fits my iPod Gen 5.5 perfectly. It did not need to be altered and it just snapped into place. It was very easy to install and makes the iPod look more modern. The faceplate seems to be made of quality materials and has not gotten any scratches on it yet.
