So I did not use this part for the correct engine, however I did use it on a Briggs & Stratton engine in my Troy Built lawnmower. The spring it came with was very weak and broke within the first couple of months of ownership. I was going to buy a replacement directly from the company but it was extremely overpriced. This spring worked perfectly as a stand in, and I can tell the quality is much higher. It has my lawnmower working like a champ again, and hopefully it will keep going for the foreseeable future. I would definitely recommend this product.
