I bought this on January 22. It's now April 24. This item has roughly a 3 month usage, so just slightly past the return date window. The section right under the blades and the black plastic casing has some kind of opening that lets all the liquid from the blender leak out all over the bottom to the motor/rotary mechanism. It's been steadily getting worse. At first it leaked a little, and now it's up to several tablespoons that splash everywhere.I wish I had taken a picture, but it basically sprayed all over the wall of my kitchen when I tried to use it last, and now it leaks just standing in place. Would NOT recommend this item...unless you think 3 months is a good expiry date for this product.

My Hamilton Beach model 52282 is pretty old, so when the rubber O ring got stretched out of shape and started leaking, I figured I’d have to throw it out although the rest of the unit was fine. I happened upon the replacement parts on Amazon and figured I’d give this a shot. This comes as one piece, which is easier to attach to the unit than the separate pieces I had. It fits perfectly with no leaks. However, the chopping part is not as good as the original one, so I still have some rather large chunks of ice in my smoothie, but it’s no big deal.
