Bought this for Recteq Smoker. Too bad my issue wasn't solved.... these replacement probes are great.... it's the smoker 'probe port' that has an issue.

Gave these a try on Reteq 590. They were off by 40 degrees. Used RTQ original probe and an external thermometer probe I already had no these were way off. Not reliable.

I purchased these to replace my originals that got broke by my kids. HUGE mistake buying these!! They don’t Calibrate worth a crap and have temperature reading all over the board! I have fought with them to even register since they were new. Used 3 times and now it’s past the return policy. Im not new at this but I cannot recommend purchasing these ever!! Complete waist of money!

Was easy to replace. Had an Err code on front of my Pit Boss controller. This was the first thing I tried and it was the problem. Older Pit Boss was handed down to me not knowing the model number or serial number. Just measured the length of the current probe and went with this one. Started right up. You may have to put new crimp connectors on the wires going back to the controller as well.

Updated February 2022...only 3 months of light use and it went bad on me. Not happy as these are not fun to change. Will be looking for a better brand.I have the original Rec Tec 680 model, 6 years old now, and started getting an error code on my screen. Replaces the temperature probe with this one and I'm back up and running. Works perfectly.
