This VF4000 filter is a perfect replacement for my Ridgid shop vac! It pops right in without any tools, which is awesome. I use my vacuum for everything, and this filter really grabs all the fine dust and debris – my garage air feels much cleaner after I've been working. Plus, I love that I can wash it and reuse it, so it lasts longer. Definitely keeps my shop vac running efficiently!

I'm so glad they still make this size cuz my shop vac it over 10 yrs old and it fit perfectly. i didnt like the price but i will probably change it less than yearly.

Perfect drop in fit for my ridgid hd1400 shop vac! Operates exactly as well as the OEM fine particulate filter. Keep in mind this is NOT a HEPA filter; I just used it for vacuuming sawdust from a floor refinishing project. Judging by how well it caught everything, I think it'd be okay for drywall dust too. I have not tested it with wet debris, but should be okay for that.The filter media is fairly tough, to clean it i beat it against a tree to get the majority of the debris dislodged, then I hit it with 100psi from the air compressor. Good as new! At the price, it's about half the cost of your local hardware store, so snag a couple. They're cheap enough to be disposable, but i plan to use it until it gets a tear.

I've had this shop vac for 20 years, and have replaced the filter once. When I was trying to knock drywall dust out of it, the bottom rubber cap separated from the paper in one section, so it was time for a new one. This is exactly like the original.
