Make sure to check your shaft. If it is damaged, you will have a problem fairly soon. Shaft may have grooves on it. If there are grooves on the inner portion of the shaft you will have a leak soon when the seal fails. If there is a groove on the outer part, it will probably damage the outer seal, but if the inner seal doesn't leak, you will probably be alright until the inner seal leaks. Make sure to use some emery cloth on your shaft to smooth so you keep damage from happening. My shaft had a snap ring on it so it was easy to know where to place the bearings on the shaft. If yours doesn't, make sure to measure. All in all, it was easier to change these seals than to mount and dismount the pump.

Worked great for my sea pump on my 2006 mercruiser black scorpion 5.7 330hp. Measure before pressing off the old bearings. There are no shoulders/steps in the shaft to let you know how far to press the new ones on.
