I like the fan my reptile babys don't want no part of it the humming it makes has them worried. So guess I'm glad I can work with them before it gets hotter here on the East Coast. Is there a felt ring or something I can add to quite/stop the humming or whatever it's doing? And is it just a tower fan I'll just buy a better quality fan higher value 😉 not better

If you want a fan to add some ventilation to your tank then this little thing is great! Both pieces are magnetic and incredibly easy to install assuming you’ve got a metal mesh cover. But don’t be fooled by their misleading description. All this serves to do is create airflow. There is no part of this device that’s designed to extract moisture from the air itself. It is also not as quiet as I had hoped, it’s similar in volume to a laptop that’s starting struggle but not quite taking off.I am disappointed with the product, and with myself. Typically I take the time to thoroughly research purchases but made this one in a hurry.Take your time weighing your options.

I thought it works great keeping my beardie enclosure cooler on the cool side before it was getting too hott and no where to go to cool down

I had this running for several months straight with no issues. It introduced airflow to an otherwise stagnant habitat. Be aware that it will only bring humidity down to that of the surrounding area, but I discovered I was able to lower humidity effectively by having this run the air over a silica gel based hangable dehumidifier. I had to stop using it eventually because of dust buildup, it got noisier and the fan got slower over time, you’ll need a bottle of compressed air ready because there is no way to take this apart to clean the parts

Works great it does produce a minor noise like a computer fan would sound from the fan, but it does help keep humidity down and spread heat, whichever you would like also great for cooling inside of terrarium. I have 2 on a 4x2x2 terrarium and work as I would like.

I recently bought a Mexican black king snake and I live in Florida where the humidity % is high. He needs it between 40-60% and it’s been sitting right above 60% sometimes even raised to 70. So I’ve been using a big floor fan until I received this which is a better dehumidifier than this POS. I set it up and the fan is not that loud. Any fan type is going to have some sound but it’s pretty low considering. And it’s easy to set up. But the second I plugged it in my humidity went from 66% to 70 in like 15 seconds. That’s just ridiculous. So I popped my floor fan back on I’m about to go buy a dehumidifier for a my living space (I live in a studio) and I’m sure that’ll work wayy better. Until I find an actual dehumidifier and not one pretending to be.
