For the coast it's perfect! The decanter seems thin, so possibly may break or chip. We'll use it more for decoration at the bar and actually using it.

I bought this for a friend, she loved it and was very impressed by it’s uniqueness. Glass is on the thin side so it is on the fragile side. More something to look at then something to actually use.

I liked this. I was afraid it would arrive broken but it was packed in tight styrofoam and it was fine. The cast bronze (bronze dust and plastic resin) looks pretty good and the base is sturdy. The bottle feels very fragile though, and the stopper is very loose. The fit of the bottle in the base is not tight, but this could be a good thing if you break it and you need to replace it with something else, since other bottles could fit. The bottle holds more than a fifth of liquor and I put some rum in it (obviously). The stopper feels a bit chunky but it's not too bad. Makes a striking display piece.

I really like this decanter. I bought it for my boyfriends birthday and he loved it when he saw it too. The octopus is really detailed even on most of the inside area. It doesnt feel cheap either, its got a nice heavy feel to it.
