I wished I had contacted Respro directly before purchasing from this vendor.First off, the Medium is very small. I am 5'5" 145 pounds and even though the Medium can work it is very tight on my face and has to be secured with the very ends of the Velcro. After sending in a measurement assessment at the Respro web site I was informed that a Large would be the correct fit.Second, I tried to contact the vendor for a return/replacement and they never responded.My recommendation is purchase directly from the manufacturer, avoid this Amazon seller and make sure you do a size assessment before purchasing.

This was a nice replacement for a larger size. The Velcro held well. I use the mask when I spray garden pests

Does the trick and has made running this winter with our inversions pleasant. The constant coughing and dryness of throat is no longer present post run. With comfort..... The strap takes time getting use to as it connects around your lower neck as you observe constant shift on your neck. Would be more comfortable if another strap could be added on you head above your ears. Bottom line, gets the job done and eventually you deal with the fit.

Use this when cutting grass or raking leaves. It does the job. This is my second mask. The first one lasted for 5 years so I have no complaint. Hopefully this one will take the same abuse and last as long.

I have asthma and have been using it when I go hiking or doing strenuous workouts. It has helped me tremendously in that it warms the air I inhale when I'm breathing hard and keeps dust out. The only negative is that it leaves marks on my face after I've worn it.

I just got this in the mail and as soon as I opened it thought, "wow, I just paid fifty bucks for a dust mask!" Literally, just a dust mask with a fancy cover.... You wanna save some money go to home depot and buy a whole box for less than this one!....

These masks have a serious flaw which makes them a rip-off. The "replacement filter" they sell is not a filter at all. It is actually nothing more than a piece of cotton cloth. The Actual Filter is a plastic disc the circumference of a quarter. One each is held in place inside a plastic holder on either side of the mask. The problem, as a few others have pointed out, is that this holder can pop open unexpectedly, and when it does the filter will fall out. It's the size of a quarter, virtually transparent, and when it falls out, it will be gone for good and you will be stuck with a $50 product that is worthless.

I bought the mask because my asthma was killing me when I jogged. I dont exactly live in an area with the best air quality so this mask really has saved me. Normally when a car with a little too much exhaust drove by I'd go down coughing and grasping for my inhailor but now I can run right thru the cloud and cant smell a thing and can also breathe wonderfully! I go running about 3-4 times a week and go 3-6 miles so the mask gets a lot of use and hardly slips off my nose. Other people complained about how they couldnt make their masks fit their faces or head shapes but the medium was just fine for me. I tie a medium-lowish ponytail with my hair and loop the mask strap above that to keep a nice tight seal around my face. The mask makes me look tough, I've scared mothers to a point where they've locked their doors and grapped their childered close, I've scared many cops who don't really know how to respond, but some people that I run by yell out at me a "NINJA!!!" or some just cheer and smile so those little moments of ninja-ness even out the moments when around 300 runners stare me down with expression-less faces at 5k and 10k races. It feels weird being the only person doing something different like wearing this mask but being different feels awesome! I'll never go jogging without it now!

I purchased this item for my first winter cycling season and tried it out for the first time in the busy city streets/trails of where I live. Please note that this is a review for a MEDIUM sized mask.PROS - Fits my relatively small face well.Breathing is not difficultProtects against wind burnsSingle strap design is easy to useCONS - Neoprene fumes are intoxicating (I feel dizzy after heavy usage)The valves on the filter are irritatingly close to my mouth/noseCONCLUSION - I bought this for use in rigorous exercise sessions. Although I have not tried it for running yet, heavy breathing inevitably leads to headaches due to the neoprene and lack of oxygen to your brain. I've done some research before I bought this and they have a wide selection of face masks for various purposes. This particular model was designed for the outdoor activities but please look elsewhere if you are planning to use it for anything other than filtration purposes (does a great job!).
