Great for outdoor element protection. We have had it pouring rain, snow covered, -20 degree, etc and it's still keeping the cord connection dry and working. The birds love the fresh unfrozen water.Great product.

I'd hide it, but I wouldn't bury it anywhere it could be submergedIn general, an IP44 rating is suitable for indoor and outdoor use in environments where the device may be exposed to occasional splashing water, but not immersion or powerful jets of water.

Works will, in using it outside for Christmas lights. Have opened or closed several times, the tabs are a little flimsy but if you are gentle there are no issues

I bought this cord cover to use with my car's block heater this winter. Since I don't have a garage, my car stays parked outside all day, and I was concerned about the cord getting wet from snow or melted water. This cover has been great for protecting the cord and making it safer from electrical issues like short circuits. Very useful product!

This was the best purchase, my out door edison lights, were conencted with duct tape, and duct tape eventually deteriorates.Moisture got in and shorted the plug on the extension cord, I searched extension cord covers, this was on the first hit and I checked into it, there were others, these ones though seemed right and idea, I never knew these existed, I used on so far and it is absolute.Highly reccommend for those connections that need to stay dry.

Used on our outdoor holiday lights. Very easy to apply to strings of lights and leads. At first the devices appeared too tight to fit, but they adapt to different size wires. Very pleased with this purchase.

I started my purchase having read the reviews. Honestly, I felt at the time I might be taking a gamble with the purchase.After receiving the products, I did a quick inspection and was generally pleased with the construction of the units.I did understand where some of the concerns regarding the corner tabs originated, though I've not experienced anything bad, except perhaps noting that if you don't open correctly they can appear to hard to open.The purchase purpose was to address cables coming apart when stepped on, this product definitely takes care of this.While at the first gig days after purchase where they were truly put to the test, we experienced heavy rain at our outdoor tented event.To make matters worse, we were forced to run power cables outside the tent.Initially I was concerned about things, but this product literally saved the gig. It's rubber membrane basically sealed the cables within creating a water safe environment which protected them from electrical hazards.At the end of gig when opened, they were perfectly dry inside.Bottom line, very impressed. Our initial purchase was for 6 though I suspect we'll be getting more as they're needed.
