Really cool design. The blades coming out only when the fan is actually running is something I've never seen before. They are kind of flimsy, but they have to be for this design to work. For their purpose, they are just fine. They're definitely secured well and not going anywhere (unless the entire unit comes down, that is).The option to simply plug it into a regular lightbulb socket is frickin' incredible. I assumed it would require more effort to get working, so that was a welcome surprise. They include a piece to go between the socket and the fan to make it more secure, but I don't think this does a whole lot of anything except make it LOOK more secure. Fortunately, as long as the socket/receptacle for your bulb is installed securely and level, there won't be an issue with or without their little add-on. Also included is a dedicated socket you can hardwire. That one truly would be more secure as there are little tabs that need twisted into place when inserting the fan. It's quiet and moves a good amount of air. It wobbles a little when I first turn it on, but levels out quickly. I think that has more to do with a lightbulb socket that isnt quite level, not the product itself. It gets very bright and the warmth/color options are nice. I personally keep it in the middle. Currently listed at $68 with a $25 off "coupon" (so $43 ... 🙄 marketing), it's a good deal, in my opinion. Worth the price even with the complains I have.I could have gone for either a second, simple remote or a mount for the wall to hang the existing remote on. The goal being to walk into a room and have a switch to flip. If a second remote was nothing but a battery operated switch, that would be perfect. What I don't like is some of the adjustability options. For instance, if you have the brightness the whole way down - still pretty bright, really - and go to change the temp/color, it will automatically go to the brightest setting again. Another inconvenient control happens when you want to turn the light on without the fan. It "memorizes" your previous settings, but apparently not whether the fan is off. So if you have the light set to warm/yellow with the fan off, press the power button to turn it off and then back on, the yellow light will come on again at the same brightness you had selected previously, but the fan will be on at whatever speed it was set to before turning it off. There is a way to turn only the light on, but you have to hold the middle button for 3 seconds in order to do that. Might sound like a minor gripe, but this is a borderline deal breaker for me. When you're on the go, moving fast and getting things done, stopping for 3 seconds feels like forever. The alternative (and, to me, preferable) option is to click the power button followed by the fan on/off button. Takes about half the time, but it still annoys me, tbh.

Needed something like this in my narrow hallway. The light is very nicely bright and adjustable. It was easy to install as it is simply a light bulb plug that powers it. I had the socket already present in the hallway, but this also is bundled with one should you need to install one yourself. The fan blades are the most peculiar, they swing open when on and retract when they are not running. I've never seen a fan do that. Very neat, but I would have been happy with the blades being static as well. The fan itself does move air nicely. You'll feel it best directly below it.We will see how long it lasts. The build quality of the light itself seems nice, but the provided bulb outlet was a very cheap design. All that aside, I'd recommend this product for your lighting neeeds.

If you have a small room needing a little air flow and lighting-- even mood lighting-- this is the little gizmo for you. If you can't get past the notion that this unit needs to be controlled from a wall switch, even better. Apparently this gizmo and many like it are now primarily only operated from a clicker-- like those used for TV's. While you can turn the main power on or off from the wall switch, most of the units functionality is controlled thru the clicker. Once the clicker craps out, not sure what happens-- guess it's time to replace the unit all together, doubt you will source a replacement clicker very easily. Beyond that though, this is pretty nice-- the Instruction manual is ridiculous and as usual in a 1 point font, you are pretty much on your own to figure installation out. My quandary was why the terminals are not marked as Black or White-- I guess like the song goes, Makes no Difference if you're Black or White... eventually I just stuck the black wire into one terminal and the white into another, and said a Prayer. Mercifully, it worked first time. Now that it's installed, I am enjoying it, fan is nice and quiet, decent airflow, and though I don't use the lights often, the soft versus harsh light options seem helpful.
