I got this mainly for the built-in light to walk our dog at night. Sometimes, when it's raining and I'm trying to hold a leash, an umbrella and a flashlight, I feel like I need more hands. With the built-in light, that's one less thing I have to carry. It's super bright and I like that it's rechargeable. It seems very sturdy and is probably more leash than our small, senior dog needs, but it seems well made. The handle is a bit large for me but works great for my brother. Since I bought this primarily for the light feature, I hope that lasts. If it doesn't, I'll update this review.

Hands down this leash is the best retractable leash I have ever bought for my dog. It glides easily and never jams up and I walk my dog a lot! But the best feature is the light which is worth it to get one with the light built inside of it instead of it being added on. Let me tell you why, because my dog, is Wheatador ( lab & wheaten terrier mix) and she loves to hunt, and just because we walk at night this hasn’t stopped her from trying to get a rabbit and because of this there’s been times where I drop the whole leash and the light would break and fall off on other leashes but this leash it hasn’t most likely because it’s built in. I need the light on night walks because it can be really dark down some streets and if my dog goes to the bathroom I can at least see where it is to pick it up…

This leash has it all. It's very comfortable in the hand and has a smooth and seamless coiling system. I take my pup out different hours of the night and need a good light and this leash really has a strong light. Living near the Everglades, we are always watching for gators/snakes and need to have a bright and clear view of where we're going and where the critters are.The only recommendation I'd have for improvement is that the button to turn on the light is hard to feel. If it had a little texture to it, it would be easier to find, but that's not a biggie.

I like this leash quite a bit. It’s got a nice feel in your hand, the light is a great feature but it does have a bit of a design flaw where the line rubs against the housing on retraction making quite a bit of noise. If that could be eliminated, I’d give it 5 stars
