This thing is awesome. As a one man driver/crew, I wanted a head and neck restraint than I could manage solo and this thing is great. Wish I bought one years ago.

This fits great and is super comfortable. Light weight and easy to deal with, I can even remove my helmet and put it back on without removing the restraint. I have full range of side to side head motion with no problem. Great for Formula Vee and reclined seats.

I have resisted using a HANS device as in trying on and testing borrowed devices I found them bulky and inhibiting in the race car. But in the historic racing I do many of the organizing groups are now mandating them. I decided on the NecksGen Rev(NGR) after doing some reading reviews and trying on several devices in comparison including the NGR. The NGR seemed smaller and less obtrusive but I know from much time in race cars that what seems OK in the pits can turn out to be wrong in the heat of battle on the track. After a couple days of track timeand a half dozen sessions I can say the NGR really works for me and after a bit of getting used to became unobtrusive. The good things aboutis the very light weight and small size such that it packs in my regular gear bag with no trouble. The procedure I found best was to put on theshoulder device while in the car and then put the shoulder belts over it which is very easy due the outer belt guides that hold the belts in place.once in place song the belts down which holds the device firmly in place around your neck, across your shoulders between you and the belts.It has the benefit of spreading the load pressure of the belts over your whole shoulder area which should benefit in a crash. Then I put on the helmet just as, and when, I normally would in pits or on pre-grid. The great thing about the NGR is the small "sockets" that the harness clips toon each side of your head. They have small "D" rings which your thumbs go into and then you plug the rings into the socket like the seat beltplugs into the buckle with a significant "click" sound right near your ears. Once clicked in place the only limitation in movement is as you turn your head left or right you hear the sound of the straps moving thru the shoulder device but you can turn your head easily close to like 75 deg-rees either way. There is no big paddle shaped thing behind your head to accommodate between the headrest and helmet so your head movement is not restricted noticeably. So then when it is time to get out of the car it is very easy to simply pull the small release cords on each side of your head to release the D rings from their sockets and take your helmet off in the cockpit as might normally do. Then when you release the belts the shoulder device can be removed and put aside in the cockpit or on the windscreen. Even after only a half dozen sessions I had worked out a simple in and out procedure and I am satisfied the added time to get in and out of the cockpit is a matter of only a few tens of seconds. All in I am very much more satisfied then I expected with the NGR. Good well thought out advance in the HANS product world ohand well made, durable looking and reasonably priced as well! With a low back, shoulder slots for 3" belts and short front to back profile, NecksGen Rev works in seats that would force your head too far forward with a Hans device. In addition, the NeksGen provide lateral protection that the Hans lacks.

This blows away any other neck device!In auto racing, the cage is normally tight in most cars, and getting in and out of the car is tough enough when nothing goes wrong. In an accident, the Hans may save your neck, but it's almost impossible to get out of the car fast wearing a Hans.The NecksGen Rev makes the Hans look like ancient technology.This is so much lighter and easier, and gets out of the way of your chest belts.You can disconnect from it in a second, and your helmet is free, or climb out with it on.It's so small, you can get out of the cage with little or no distraction due to it being attached to your helmet.The same can not be said for the Hans in most cases i have seen.If your looking for the next level of safety, this is it!
