How to Install A New Battery:
- You need to turn off your tablet and disconnect the power.
- Disconnect the connection between the old battery and the motherboard to avoid unnecessary damage caused by disassembling the battery. Then unscrew the old battery screws one by one and carefully save each screw.
- Remove the old battery, carefully install the new battery on the battery case, screw in the screw, and connect the wiring of the new battery.
- Please search for the relevant battery installation guide on YouTube before you replaced. For example, use "How to replace Apple iPad 1 1st battery" to search.

I have a really old 1st gen iPad. Needs new battery, I was just going to throw it out, but then just for fun I thought I'd try to change it because it wasn't worth paying to have someone do it. Battery was $30 and I bought extra clips for $6. iPad probably isn't worth that much.Don't even attempt to use the tools that come with this. The plastic ones fall apart and and the star screw driver which you need to remove most the screws doesn't grab and just strips the screws.I gave this a one because I won't even get to use the battery since now the iPad is trash, so I can't rate it.I guess I should have saved the $36 and just thrown it out. Live and Learn.

I can't report about the battery yet, although I have installed it, because the charger port might be bad also. I would like to report about the tools that come with the battery and they are junk. The T4 screwdriver has too long of a point on it and will not remove any screws. The plastic items will break with very little effort. Save yourself some time and go buy a GOOD tool kit for doing such a repair as this.

This battery brought an 11 year old iPad back to life. It works fine, but a lot of stuff needs to come apart to replace it. Be sure to read ifixit guide beforehand and tape the screen even if it’s not cracked.

The battery works fine. I would leave a 5 star, but the tool included is a T4 head and the screws in the iPad are T5. Wasn't a deal breaker for me as I already have a set of T bits. If you do not own a set, you will need to purchase a T5 to make the swap.

Battery works great.Does not come with “how to” battery replacement instruction. Watched a few Utube videos before and while changing out the battery.Plastic pieces for loosening sealant around glass screen broke too easily, but it could have bern the way I was using them. Had to use small, flat-head screw driver that comes with set to finish sealant removal and remove screen.Comes with a t4 sized torx screw driver (too small to remove screws). All the Utube battery replacement videos I watched called for a t4 size bit to remove the interior screws. However the screws in my IPAD are t5 sized. Fortunately I have a set of torx bits that includes a t5 size.
