I followed directions I found on YouTube and had no trouble replacing my battery. I did scratch my case a bit trying to get it pried open but it was nothing major.

The tools that came with this battery kit is basically worthless. Most of the plastic tool broke apart. I ended up using a razor blade to pry the back and then using a flat head screwdriver to pop each of the connector one by one. I found a useful video online for a competing product that had a much better description on how to replace the battery and cover. Another tip is to install the battery connector before settling the battery down so that there's enough slack to fit nicely in. Good luck and hope this helps for those that are considering replacing the battery on this incredible tablet.6 Months Later, the battery has died. Avoid this replacement battery like the plague.

Battery was good. The tools were soft

The tools to open the tablet all broke regardless of following directions and not being the first tablet we've opened. The part they provide for suction to pull the back off didn't keep suction when pulled. Plan to use the battery at some point but will end up taking it somewhere to have the work done since no tools to remove the back. Don't waste your money

Once I was able to get the back cover off, replacing the battery was easy peasy and instantly improved the life of my SM-T710 (Tab S2 8.0), which I've owned for a few years. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the prying tools sent with the battery simply don't do their job, with the plastic giving way the second an attempt was made to get inside the very tight groove. I ended up using the small flathead screwdriver to get the cover started, then used the pry tools to loosen the tabs. Naturally, this caused some slight cosmetic damage, but I keep the device in a case so I am not too bothered by that. By the time I worked my way around the entire cover (slowly, I might add), the tools had lost all edging and the plastic had disintegrated into the housing of the device. I had to used canned air to clean out the device from the blue plastic scraps that had come off the tools. But the point of the purchase, which was to extend my device's life cycle with a new battery, has been achieved, and I am happy for that as a result.

I followed video instructions I found on Youtube, and was successfully able to change the battery in my Galaxy S2 tablet. My tablet battery had been dying quickly, and finally it would not turn on at all. With the new battery it once again works. Replacing the battery requires you to pry the back off of the tablet--it is not made to come off, and you are pretty much breaking it. The plastic tool provided actually snapped while doing this. I've always kept a cover on my tablet, and the cover keeps the damaged back on the tablet now.
