These pads do what they're supposed to do and stay put on your roof racks. They do fade quickly in the sun.

I bought this needing to secure my Thule cargo carrier on a Nissan Armada. The original rack and roof line did not allow for enough clearance for the carrier, so the carrier would bang against the roof. This roof rack pad added the distance it needed to stop the banging of the carrier on the roof. I did need to get longer bracketing bolts, but minor expense at the hardware store.

Although the Rhino Rack and other websites state these will fit round bars they really don't. I have Yakima round bars and these are much too big such that you cannot get a snug fit. Because they have padding only on the top of the pad when you go to load a board the pad is so loose that it will spin around which is not what you want (no padding). They are nice pads and I am going to keep them for our other vehicle that has the Rhino aero bars (which they fit very well) but was not what i purchased for and disappointed that they don't fit as advertised. If you are looking at these for round bars don't bother.
