These are the BEST hopping ones. Easily hop 20 feet with practice. Relatively fragile. The stiffness of the plastic, the shape and how pressed/released is the key to long hops. These are the better/stiffer HOPPING plastic with an excellent hopping design/shape. Likely there will be some misformed/broken ones. About 7 cents each 03/2025.

I loved these frogs and so did the children. I used them as an example of the plague of frogs when we were studying Moses in Children's Church. There were frogs everywhere. They (and I) loved them.

I bought these for targeting sounds in speech therapy sessions. I used a variation of the "Ants In The Pants" game and had them jump into a shallow blue bowl (the frog pond). The kids loved them and worked hard to be able to get a turn to let their frogs jump in the pond! These frogs jump high and far with the right amount of pressure applied. A few didn't have all their limbs but they were still a good value for how many I got. I would definitely buy them again.

Great for the price. Not high quality items, but sturdy and they do jump and provide lots of fun for the kids.

*Update 24th of May 2018:I recently ordered another batch of these frogs, and the seller sent me a completely different frog than my prior order. The frogs were not from Rhode Island Novelty, but, "Oriental Trading Company". The frogs from Oriental Trading are made out of a very thin and flexible plastic, that does not have enough tension to cause the frogs to jump much when sliding your finger off the jumping tab at the back of the frog.BE CAREFUL what seller you buy from. Enclosed is a photo of what the, "Good" frogs look like, and also what the poor quality frogs look like. The frog pictured on the left, is the good quality plastic jumping frog that jumps as it should. The frog pictured on the right in the photo is the plastic frog, that doesn't jump, and is made of a thin, softer plastic than the frog on the left. The, "Good" quality frogs are of a thicker, more sturdy plastic. They have some give, but also firm enough that they can jump a bit of a distance. The Oriental Trading frogs are glossier, and of a softer plastic, so when sliding your finger off the jump tab at the back of the frog, it doesn't quite jump, just more like tumbles. The frogs shipped directly from Amazon are the real deal jumping frogs pictured on the left in the photo attached to my review. If you get the good quality frogs, my older review below is applicable.----Original Review (For the good quality frogs):If you are familiar with these jumping, plastic frogs, then you should find no surprises here. The frogs I bought, were very much the same as others like this that I have encountered over the years, in size, appearance, and action. The color selection from the seller I purchased from was decent, a bit more yellow than the other colors, but, for the price, it's not much to complain about. For the people posting reviews here, saying that they are having issues with making the frogs jump, there is a method to making the frogs jump. You press down on the tab, at the rear of the frog, then while still applying pressure, you slide your finger back, and off of that tab. If a frog seems to lose a bit of it's, "jump", I just flex it's legs inward a bit, so there is more tension when applying pressure to the tab for the frog to jump. Also, these frogs are meant more for use on hard surfaces, not carpet and such.

I used these frogs to teach my kids in church about the plagues. I had them all over the room and the kids loved to race them. There are 144 plastic frogs of various colors that are well made and each have tabs that can be pushed and the frogs jump. The kids loved these. I had plenty for them to take home too!

So you really get what you pay for... These are cheap even by the cheapest standards. LOL I didn't realize there was such a difference in quality.1) These have a STRONG burnt plastic smell.2) They are very very think and almost brittle feeling.3) Some of the fronts were missing body parts such as limbs or half the body4) Many of the frogs still had the plastic tab pieces attached so I had to go through the whole bag and pull them off.5) There were plastic pieces of excess scrap/garbage in the bag.Attached are pictures so you can see the colors and some of the issues I had. I think next time I'll spend a couple of $$ more and get better quality.

These frogs were a HUGE hit at our frog themed fourth birthday party! The kids loved hopping them all over the place and racing them! The colors are vibrant and fun, and the frogs are actually great quality and very fun to play with. And, being that there are so many, there were plenty for the party goers to take home and play with.
