Yes, I'm a wildcat. But neither of my kids went to Northwestern (outside Chicago in Evanston), so I guess I thought this was just a logo mug for the school (where I went to grad school) and was planning to keep it for myself. Now I'm gonna have to wait about 30 years for my kids, neither of whom is married yet but both of whom have serious relationships going, to get married, have kids, and have those kids go to NU, before I can proudly display this mug. I'll admit to a bit of an error in judgement when I ordered here. However, that said, I do like that this substantive mug comes in the school colors, and it is good-sized mug at 16 oz., so it holds more than the average-sized cup of coffee, or 2, if you consider each serving should be 8 ounces. Maybe the rest is room for whipped cream on the hot chocolate grandma drinks? (Or if she's my mom, it'll be filled with black coffee, and plenty of it). I like the purple with white speckles, and the laser carving is cool, too. Well worth the money if you're trying to get NU grandma something to show you appreciate her help with tuition! Well packaged so there won't be breakage in shipping. Good item for the right audience.
