Many of the reviews note that there is not much suction - which is true when you are using the HEPA filter (as should be expected).Removing the HEPA filter makes this a great day to day shop vac and actually has a much quieter running volume than many other shop vacs. You should not be using HEPA for a day to day shop vac, unless you are looking for HEPA level filtration. But you will always lose suction when you increase filtration.Best shop vac I have ever owned.

Not that great of sucking power. Also bought it in December and it’s broke already. Does anyone know if I purchased this on Amazon how I would go about getting a refund for the $450 I spent on a vacuum that does not pick up any longerThank you

I'm a hotel facilities manager and I purchased this as an alternative to the home depot version of a similar sized wet/dry vac. I must say I expected much better suction power from this model. It seems to lack the power of the much more affordable alternatives. I would steer clear of this product unless you are using it for purely dust collection purposes. both wet and dry pick up of standing water and debris seems lackluster.

I still have my first one I bought many years ago. I just needed a new shiny one for working in hospitals and other places where dust matters.

The unit has no power it will pick up sawdust but, no small nails, pieces of drywall and it's useless for getting sand and dirt out of car carpeting.I've owned Ridgid shop vacs before and both lasted over 20 years. Never again

Absolutely no power. My $30 shop vac from Costco has more power. I am going to return it. By far the worst Ridgid product I have ever bought. This should be sold by Harbor Freight Tools.
