Hi, this is a beautiful decanter, but the description as "clear" and pictures are misleading. It has a long black strip that runs from top to bottom of the item. Unaware of such characteristics by the time of purchase, we returned the item.

I've bought my over three years ago and it is still perfect.Be careful if you leave any red wine in it, it will leave a stain.I left red wine for over a week and freaked out...But all is good because I purchased those little ball bearings and lo and behold it cleaned it up!!!!It took a lot of shaking with a mild dish soap - but it Worked.

Love this decanter, though it looks and feels very fragile, it's so far stood up to routine dinner party handling and washing. But why is "flavor" one of the features to rate? Hope it doesn't have any flavor! Lol

The product itself is well built and pretty. However the box which came with the decanter is way too big for the actual product which leaves a lot of empty space after having the decanter packed inside. My piece arrived with the opening damaged which is quite disappointing.

I purchased this as a gift for my brother, who has been lusting after the Reidel decanters for some time. He loves it, and says that it is a perfect gift. Though not inexpensive, it IS a work of art, and for the true connoisseur, a lifetime investment to enjoy and admire.
