I own a 7 series BMW, super nice luxury automobile, great to drive. I've learned that replacement parts are not all made the same.Take these Bominik crankcase breather hoses as an example. I ordered these for convenience and that was it. They seam to be similar to OE parts but they are not. The main tube material is a hard type plastic which is not listed under materials.>One thing to note is that the hoses pictured are in a laid out straight line fashion. Easily can bend either way to fit. I received hoses in a box that required the hoses to be basically folded in half in a horseshoe shape. The "plastic" it's made from feels fragile and doesn't bend very easy at all. The plastic material the hoses are made out of is similar to wire loom material for automotive wiring but way stiffer. The hose material is actually harder plastic and shinier than wire loom. Which brings me to another concern.>Materials:silicone, rubber. I'm not an expert on rubber or silicone and don't get me wrong the hoses have a protective sleeve covering them which might be silicone and rubber but the main hoses are a plastic material. The hoses I received are not flexible enough to bend back straight so they can be routed correctly. The third image shows the difference between the actual plastic tube and the protective sleeve material that protects the tubes.Again I do not claim to be an expert on plastic materials and their different components but I know plastic when I see it and also have the ability to discern materials such as rubber and silicone. Both of which are known to be flexible. If the main tube material that I'm relying on to function on my BMW is made of plastic, it should certainly be listed as plastic under "materials". It is concerning that it is not.>As far as connections are concerned the ends on the tubes do mate and lock onto my OEM PCV tubes like they should. The connectors have new orange O-rings installed on them. These hoses would be relatively easy to install. Functionality is still up in the air. How long they will last BMW's engine design has a tendance to create a lot of excess heat so anything ner the motor has to be built tough. I agree they are a good value for the money but are not the same high quality that OEM BMW parts are.Thank you.
