Been using this on my car for a few months and really like it! The white sleeve spins freely when you apply pressure to it and will not mark wheels, however, the tip of the socket and the inside of the socket has come off. However, on my vehicle's black lug nuts, I don't see any red on them. So I would say its safe.

I purchased this lug nut socket because it has a non-marring cover. It will protect my wheels from being scratched and it is a very durable socket. No complaints with its fit/finish at all, and I use it with my impact gun and my torque wrench with no issues. Would purchase again.

I like how tight it is to the lug nuts, reducing chance of rounding the bolt. Better than craftsman chrome socket, that one is loose and I have rounded bolt few times

On a recent trip, we had a flat tire. The "tool" provided with the vehicle was able to do the job in getting lug nots off, but it had multi-tool features making it some what awkward to use. So I purchased this lug nut set and 18" breaker bar. The color anodizing is deep and rich and each size is clearly marked. The storage case they came in was padded for each socket, a big plus!

I ordered a 19mm for my wife's CRV and a 17mm for my Mazda3- both fit very well, no interference whatsoever. Honestly I can't imagine them not being to fit in the recessed wells for the lug nuts, even with the white polymer sleeve (I'm not sure what material the sleeve is, but it feels like it could be Teflon or Delrin- both of which are very durable and certainly up to the task). I would definitely purchase again, but I doubt I will have to! Unless maybe one of us purchases another vehicle which uses a socket other than 17mm or 19mm.
