I was having trouble getting interfacing to adhere to my fabric/linen. Using the wool pad and the tailor clapper solved my problem. Completely.

Just received the 'clapper' and have not use it as yet. Extremely disappointed though as there was a large sticky label on the bottom of it. Considering what this item is used for, it seems the most ridiculous place for a label to be placed. It wasn't easy to remove the label and left a lot of glue residue. Am sure there must be a better place for a label to be positioned - and better still - perhaps a label of better quality that would peel easily leaving no residue. I have taken a star off because of this but hope it will be a five star item as it is a fairly pricey item.

This is a beautiful, nice feeling and heavy 7" hardwood tailor Clapper tool when ironing and setting a seam. I was surprised to see it was so heavy for being only 7". It works great. It fits the hand, has groves on the side so you can hang onto the piece of wood. It has nice rounded corners on block of wood. It is higher priced then some I looked at but it is worth the quality by Riley Blake.

I'm sure once I get the sticky adhesive label off the bottom of the clapper it will be great. Riley Blake makes quality products. However, whoever marked this for sale had no idea that the flat smooth surface of the bottom is the benefit to the tool. Having a sticky label on the bottom defeats the purpose and can ruin fabric.
