the design of the blue pad where it comes in contact with the sectional matrix is a little cumbersome. I wish the tines are a little longer to accommodate various interproximal wedges. I'm not confident the all steel design of the ring will impart adequate separation of the adjacent tooth for a tight contact, especially after multiple sterilization cycles. I do like the all in one design where you don't need a clamp forceps to place/remove the ring. Does come with replacement pads which is a plus. Very good price but I'm not overwhemed with the tightness of the resulting contact.
