I have pounded 150 trout in one day, 6 over 5 pounds on ONE TIPPET. Retying seems smart after a big fish, right? But I inspected the knots and looked for abrasions and just didn't find a reason to change it.. I am not afraid of a 24 inch brown on this..and have landed more than a few in wide rivers that run 100 ft. plus in blazzing, impossible speeds. (assuming you have a good rod to absorb impact and you know how to play the fish.) It seems very reliable and I don't have failures that I cannot explain with this. I would note that if you get a knot in your tippet, it will eventually be a weak point. Any tippet would be affected by that. For the diameter of the line and weight, it is just a fine line that actually feels like 7 pound line. But it does not look like it! I like their fly lines as well.

I purchased several different weights of this product to construct bonefish leaders. They have the right stiffness to turn over flies in saltwater environment. Each segment of the leader is easy to tie together with a blood knot.
