These are wonderful!! I live in northern Wisconsin. At 30 below zero mine did freeze up. In the fall I warp mine in insulation . No more freezing up. I have a bird bath heater in my water.

The person that didn’t realize it was not heated. Should have just put a 40 W lightbulb underneath inside because it is a very well insulated unit.This worked real well in Nebraska freezing weather.

I am returning as this is not a heated waterheater as this is what was needed and now I have to pay to return plus I have a second one coming in two days and will have to turn around and return it. wasted money sooooo not happy with this. I just lost over $100. for nothing.

This is our 3rd Ritchie waterer and we have had no issues with any one them so far. One of them we have had for 5 years now. Of course, we have a small tank heater and and heat tape down the pipe every winter to keep the water from freezing, but everything has pretty much been a breeze with these waterers for us!
