Your cart is empty.The 8" long Soil Probe (part number 235-8) is a very resourceful landscaping soil sampler that is designed to sample root growth beneath the surface, allowing core samples to be taken for evaluating soil composition and later soil analysis. This soil tester measures 8" long, so it is extremely portable and can even fit in your back pocket. This landscaping tool provides a 0.59" x 4 3/4" deep core, so use it to check soil compaction, root structure, and thickness of thatch. It will help determine if aeration needs to take place.

Product appears very sturdy. It has not been used yet but I'm certain based on thickness that there will be no issues. Although the soil probe was described accurately, I was surprised at the size and ability to fit in my community mailbox. That said, it will serve its purpose and shouldn't present an issue as long as the soil is soft.
