I tried Sun test - oriented lenses to the Sun, both did not darken. They darkened for a fraction of a second when I moved a finger over one of the sensors, but then became transparent again. They canot be used for welding.

But the ficker to my shop lights, the arc sensors each control half the weld lens, but works good enough to MIG and Stick using Everlast Cyclone 262 Weld Mean. Weld Green.

I had an Iron man helmet that has sounds and lights. I decided to convert it into a welding helmet and I got two of these self darkening lenses for my helmet. They work perfectly. Great price too. I use them for mig welding. No problems at all.

It’s rubbish it just doesn’t work, I’ve tried various things to get past the problem but it just continually flicks between shade 3 and shade 11 while welding, waste of money!!

When they go in dark mode they block vision, and I can’t see the weld pool at all.

It's slightly thicker than the standard lens so you have to shave the part that it slides into but it fits great otherwise.
