However form and fit was fine. They installed without any problems. Only time will tell if these are as durable as the original shimano hoods or not.

I have been having an issue last summer and this summer in the heat (and my sweat) with one of my brake hoods (left) swelling and becoming loose.I purchased a new set of Shimano in the OEM case last year and it all worked well... Until this summer and a lot of hot rides and very sweaty palms... Become loose again (left).No stoke almost anywhere for Shimano. This came up as the title says "Compatible".... For the $ I bought them thinking that they are a knock off and if it doesn't work I'll return...They are a little different on the niblets inside that hold the hood in place (the one under the palm is quite a bit larger than the ones I've had). Of note is that the graphics (including the logo) are as far as I can tell the same as OEM... Interesting..Put the left one on and... Worked even better (so far) than the last OEM one!Will report back if there are issues in the coming weeks.

They fit perfectly. They have to be stretched to get on, but recover their original shape immediately. I feel like anyone who has complained must have gotten something different than I did. I used isopropyl alcohol from a spray bottle as a lubricant, moved the back of the hood up over the lever as far as possible, then pulled up and back on the front of the hood turning it inside out and forming a double layer to "peel" the hood up and over the top of the lever. Once it stretches past the largest part, it can then be undoubled and moved into its final position

These things are manufactured like garbage. There's no way they are original shimano.. Try to put one on it tore Write in half even the rubber didn't feel like the originals that I pulled off.

Of course, once I bought a bike with hydraulic disc brakes I realized what a costly mistake it is. But I'll live with it for the time being. All my other non hydraulic brake bikes have never needed a hood replaced.

These are a pretty nice aftermarket replacement for OEM hoods. I went with black, however they come in a couple of other colors if you are after some flash.....and they happen to go with your matchy matchy theme. That said, couple of small differences. They are a touch thinner than OEM hoods and I'm not sure if that will translate into anything down the road (pun intended? I'll let you decide.). Also, all the little "buttons" that lock the hood in place on the lever body are just slightly....I mean, JUST slightly different in material thickness. Unless you're really torquing on your levers, I don't think it should be an issue though. Would absolutely be 5-stars if they were a little more robust.
