We use it to tow a full size pickup sometimes with a motorcycle in the back. Never any problems, and Roadmaster is very responsive if you have any questions. Not cheap but do you really want to skimp on such a critical piece of equipment. You do have to remember you need a vehicle-specific base plate on your towed vehicle. Roadmaster makes them to fit most cars and trucks. It takes a little work to install but not too complicated. There is no drilling it’s made to use existing holes. The paper directions are not too clear but they have videos on their website

When I opened the box today to install it I found that the cross bar that attaches to the back is missing. It is shown on the pic for the web page so I assumed it was supposed to come wiith it. The pins that attache to it were in the box but the bar is not there. I was planning on leaving for a trip June 2nd. How do I get a cross bar? I would have given it five stars if all the parts were there...

I have been using tow bars for nearly 40 years and this is by far the best and easiest to use of any that I have had. I have been using this model tow bar for about 8 years and have had not complaints. My only suggestion would be for users of any and all tow bards, do not use the snap ring pin locks that come with the tow bars. in well over 100,000 miles of towing, I have had them come off on three occasions. And it is not because they were not installed properly. I know how to use them. I use pad locks now and have never had one come off. I have used both combination and keyed locks and both work well.

A little work getting to the necessary areas on my Jeep GC, however this is not Roadmasters fault. The kit for my vehicle fit up excellently.

There was a piece missing. I just want the part number 910029 base pin, cable and linch pin (two each color coded blue). I've already installed all the other parts and am ready to go. I do not wish to return the complete heavy assembly. Please help.

We upgraded to the Blackhawk All-terrain from the Falcon 2. With the Falcon 2, without fail, when we needed to unhook quickly, no matter how straight and level we thought we were, we couldn't get the darn pins out. The all-terrain's claim that it doesn't matter if your toad is cockeyed or on a hill is pretty accurate. We are on a month-long trip, and only once when the toad was at about a 35 degree angle from the RV, did we have to work at it a little. Overall, I love this tow bar. I gave it 5 stars, but the one drawback for me is it is a little stiff for my arthritic hands during hook-up, but my husband has no problems with it.

I have had a conventional tow bar (ball hitch) for years but it did not have high enough weight rating for my full size truck. Had never tried a receiver mounted bar that stayed with the towing vehicle. After using this one I will never go back to one that stays on the towed vehicle and uses a ball mount. This tow bar is so much easier to connect and disconnect and you can leave it on the back of the towing vehicle so the towed vehicle has a clean front when you drive it. It also has rail tubes on the side to run the safety cable in keeping them out of harms way and giving a cleaner look. It is well built and should last a life time.
