The direct-connect style baseplate allows you to connect your tow bar directly to the baseplate, eliminating the need for a crossbar. This is our easiest system to connect and disconnect. If you are using a motorhome-mounted tow bar, this is the baseplate you should choose. Fits 2012-2014 Honda Civic. Fits all. No brush guard or extra bumper trim package. Trimming of spoiler, air dam, bumper, grill or plastic fascia may be required on some models of this vehicle.

This is a very sturdy well made baseplate. Installation is fairly difficult unless you're used to working on vehicles, but we were able to install it in about 3 hours

Relative ease of installation, have not had a chance to put it to the test yet. But appears to be a quality product.

The product is extremely well made and fits like a glove, but the instructions are pretty vague, especially regarding the removal of the grille and front fascia from the vehicle.Three suggestions to other buyers:1) Find a YouTube video showing the installation process and follow that2) Don’t mess around with reusing the 17mm subframe bolts. The Honda shop manual says they should be replaced if they are ever removed, so buy two new ones and cut off about 5/16” off the end before reinstalling.3) Plan disassembly and base plate installation for one day and reassembly for several days later, since it’s very likely that some of the plastic Honda fasteners will break during disassembly and you’ll have to get replacements.

Fits my 2014 crv perfectly. Product is the ez5 so connect and disconnect (I have roadmaster blackhawk 2 tow bar) was pretty easy no snags etc. works really good. Have towed over 5000km with it without any problems whatsoever. The kit comes with the tow bracket, all the material you need AND 2 tow hooks that are quick connect/disconnects (again search and you’ll see) I just keep those in the car until you want to tow, but with those taken off, the front of car has no protrusions - exactly what I was looking for.Comprehensive installation guide available at etrailer or just google it. Follow it and you will not go wrong. The longest part was having to file down the 2 Honda factory subframe bolts down 1/2 inch - it is required to do it otherwise it won’t secure properly to crv. Oh, while you got it apart, go ahead and change out or install your fog lights (optional). I also ordered the roadmaster led tailight kit to go on the car.Had other tow brackets on previous Honda’s, this one is easy to use. Enjoy!

Great base plate, fit perfectly!First use was on a 2 week/3500 mile trip. Hitched and unhitched the CRV from the RV many times along the way. No issues.

The item doesn’t match the photos that are displayed. This is the correct 521567-5 with the round arms .... I have road master falcon2And it’s a perfect fit. Terrible customer service I tried to let them know about the wrong photo and they don’t seem to care.

Had a friend who has knowledge about taking the front cap off my 2013 Honda CRV help me and we were able to install it in a few hours. Just make sure you read the directions first and put red loctite on the bolts. They sort of burying that info in the directions instead of putting it in the section about tools you will need. Had the old system on my 2007 CRV with the heavy crossbar in front of the bumper. The current system does away with that and it is much cleaner looking.
