I got these to hook the safety chains to after I replaced the tow bar cross bar with a winch bumper on my Ford Ranger. Theses brackets are made to attach to a Roadmaster tow bar bracket. I attached them instead to the truck frame after I trimmed off the little tabs. There's a left and right bracket that points the angled part out for access or clearance, depending on the situation. In the photos the brackets point down at a slight angle. That's because I elected to retain some of the reinforcing brackets from the original tow bar and needed to angle it for clearance.These are stout, thick brackets that will allow me to connect the safety chains/cables when I flat tow my Ranger. I upgraded the bolts to grade 8's and painted the outer edge red to make it easier to see, especially in low light.
